Surgery for testicular torsion involves untwisting the “spermatic” cord inside the affected testicle and then placing stitches around both testicles to repair the twisted one and prevent torsion from happening to the other testicle. Most guys have mild discomfort for a few weeks after the surgery. The stitches that hold the testicles in place are very small. The testicles are very sensitive so it’s possible that certain activities that you are doing may contribute to the occasional pain. Either way you should make an appointment with your surgeon to make sure that everything is healing properly. Make sure to ask questions and talk about your concerns.
