Retrograde ejaculation occurs when the seminal fluid is emptied in to the bladder instead of out of the penis. If you have had an orgasm but no ejaculate came out, you may have had retrograde ejaculation, especially if you then noticed seminal fluid in your urine the next time you peed. The most common reason for retrograde ejaculation is injury to the genitals due to surgery.
Alcohol and drug use during sex are other common causes. Trauma to your genitals due to a sex toy could also be a cause. If you believe you really do have retrograde ejaculation or if you have pain in your penis, testicles, or when you pee, see your health care provider.
