It is perfectly normal for any adolescent to feel like they are eating a lot of food. During adolescence your body is still growing and the only way it can do that is by getting enough nutrients from food and drink. If you are concerned about your weight, talk to your health care provider who will be able to look back at your growth chart to see if you are growing along your growth curve. Sometimes adolescents will gain weight prior to growing taller or as their body changes and shifts in different ways. This is all normal. Make sure that you are eating a variety of foods that includes fruit, vegetables, protein, whole-grain or plant-based carbohydrates, and heart-healthy sources of dietary fat.
