How do I know I get wet dreams? I don’t think I do… is that normal?

Thanks for your question. Lots of people have questions about wet dreams. The medical term for wet dreams is “nocturnal emissions.” It basically means you have an orgasm or ejaculate in your sleep. If you have wet dreams, you will probably notice semen on your clothes or bed sheets when you wake up.

Wet dreams usually start in puberty as your testosterone level increases. While they occur more frequently during puberty, every guy is different in terms of when they will start getting wet dreams and how often they will get them. Also, some guys do not get wet dreams. If you are otherwise going through puberty (including having your testicles and penis grow bigger and developing pubic hair), this is probably totally normal.
