You may have also been exposed to toxins such as lead or alcohol. Finally, another serious cause of paresthesia may be diabetes, so it’s best to speak with your health care provider (HCP). Schedule an appointment with your health care provider (HCP) right away. Your HCP will be able to help determine the possible cause of the paresthesia and recommend tests and interventions if needed.
